Why Disney ABANDONED It's Hand-Drawn Animations.. Welcome back to Thriller Focus, today on the channel we are going to check out if Disney should bring back its hand-drawn animations? + the best Disney 2D-animations of all time. Disney movies have become icons of cinema. The studios released Snow White and the Seven Dwarves all the way back in 1937, and ever since has been creating adorable and fun-loving animations for all the family to enjoy. But as the digital age moves forwards, will we ever see Disney use its traditional process to create animated films? A user on Twitter has shared four screenshots of the pencil test animations from the Disney films Tangled, Frozen, Moana and Encanto. The pencil tests are used as a way for the animators to check if the sequence works, but they've also left fans wondering whether we will ever get to see a hand-drawn Disney animation again. If you'd like to have a go at animating, then make sure you check out our roundup of the best animation software. Before this new age of technology, all the Disney movies were animated via the tedious process of hand drawing each frame. While this probably isn't an efficient way of animating nowadays (even when they did use that clever animation hack), there is still something special about the old movies and it would be interesting to see some of the modern characters have an old school makeover. Meanwhile, let’s check out the best Disney 2D-animations of all time. Mulan. In 1998, Disney released the mother to all tough Disney warrior princesses. Once Mulan’s sickly father is recruited to join the army, the titular heroine dons a man’s clothes and goes in his place, under the name Ping. With two animal sidekicks and the help from her ancestors, Mulan triumphantly saves China, despite joining the armed forces with literally zero experience. Mulan is the ultimate girl power Disney movie, showing young girls that they can take risks and defy gender stereotypes. The Golden Globe-winning movie earned an 86% on Rotten Tomatoes and a remake was released in 2020 though it did not quite live up to the inspiring impact of the original. Hello and welcome to this weeks video! I am creating tutorial video about how to make repeatable pattern (seamless pattern) by hand and using mixed media. Creating pattern is great if you want to make a print for notebook covers, wrapping paper or any other merchendise. I am creating these patterns for my self initiated picture book project as endpapers. This picture book I am working on is set in both Autumn and Winter. I had this idea to create front endpapers as Autumn scene and back endpapers as Winter scene. Here is my interpretation about it. I am also chatting here and there. Hey there design champs! Today I made two logo options for Alex. My goal was to make the logo designs look mostly hand drawn. It can be difficult create a vector logo that still looks natural or hand drawn. I started by drawing the two logo concepts on a piece of paper. Then I transferred those ideas into photoshop. In photoshop I took the brush tool and drew over my real life drawings. Once I had the logo designs completely colored, I went back through and erased (you can use the mask tool if you want to be a pro logo designer) the lines of the drawing. This leaves you with a colored in design that has the lines removed. Once you have the the design looking natural and drawn in photoshop change the image to black and white. Then take a screenshot of your logo and open the screenshot in adobe illustrator. Once you have your hand drawn logo design in illustrator, you can use the image trace tool to turn it into a vector design. You can change the adjustment settings in the image trace tool to create the perfect hand draw vectorized look. After the logo has been vectorized you can ungroup the shapes and color them to your heart’s content. I hope you guys enjoy the process and give this technique a try!
