The Alternative rock quintet, Cage the Elephant performed a very special live show at JBTV studios which included one of their hit singles "Come A Little Closer" from their most recent album, Melophobia [RCA Records]. The song's lyrics are said to be inspired by when lead singer Matt Shultz woke up in his hotel room in Sao Paolo and observed all the makeshift houses in a nearby neighborhood to which he said resembled a boroughs system similar to an ant hill and it led him to he think about the people who live inside those houses and their emotions. Essentially, he thought of a song that explores the theme of looking at things with a closer and more intimate perspective rather than the big picture. Cage The Elephant formed in 2006 in Bowling Green, Kentucky and the group found mainstream success in 2009 following the release of their Debut self-titled album the year prior. The single that was most responsible for this was "Ain't No Rest For the Wicked", a song that earned them an appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman and could be heard in the hit video game Borderlands. Later that year, they played at Chicago's Lollapalooza and at San Francisco's Outside Lands.
